I'm 3 days late according to my iphone ;)

This weekend has to be full of accomplishment!

Hopefully we will get our porch done. Right now, the old frame is lying in the dirt and there is plastic sheeting where siding should be. The new porch (or rather repaired old porch since we are using much of the old frame) will be freestanding instead of being attached to the house.

I have my hopes high that tonight after work we will be able to get all the holes dug for the posts that will hold up the new deck.

Positive thinking has me picturing myself enjoying a cold drink (non alcoholic of course) on my porch Sunday night. And just for clarification, that image does not include railing, just decking and stairs.. can't get too hopeful.

Also hoping to repair the hole over the front door and get drywall up on the bathroom ceiling.

Wish us luck (on all accounts!)

Baby Making

We are trying to put a bun in this oven!! We can't wait to be parents.

My goal is to have the house sold and a nursery finished at a new house before I am 8 mths prego.

Hopefully that's about 8 mths from now, but we don't know yet.

This has been a battle for us so far. I was pregnant around this time last year, but it ended in a molar pregnacy which is when the cells don't split right and do not form a baby. It was really tough, but now that we've been given the green light to try again, we are excited to start over.

Wish us luck at creating life!

Dave and I met on our first day of college at the University of New Haven. We have been best friends ever since.

After we graduated in the spring of 2006, we moved down to my parent's house and spent a few months in their RV parked in the driveway. As soon as we could afford to, we moved to a little one bedroom apartment together.

On February 1st 2008, David took me to check on our letterbox and tricked me into thinking someone left clues to another in our box. He let those clues lead me to a hollow tree stump where he knealt in the mud ( it was raining ) and asked me to be his wife.

We were married in Philadelphia on the Wissahickon Creek on September 14th 2008.

David is amazing. He is sweet as a man can be and truly spends each day making me happy. He even cooks and cleans without me saying a word. His support has gotten us this far and I love him more than I can express.

The House

We live in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom ranch style modular home in Southern New Jersey. We bought it in November of 2008 about two months after we got married. Since we have moved in we have put new flooring down in every room in the house (excluding the basement), have turned the one and a half bath into one large master bath, have repainted all the walls, done tons of yardwork and many more cosmetic tasks.

We owe about $117,000 on the house and have racked up considerable credit debt fixing er' up. But we believe the risk is worth the reward and hope to sell before November of this year.

We hope to make enough profit to pay off our roughly $40,000 in student loans.
